Happiness is the highest from of health

Online Hypnotherapy

When you choose hypnotherapy you will be placed in a relaxed state, which appeals to your subconscious in order to achieve your goal. This means that while you are in this state, you can express feelings and experiences you have bottled up, it can also help you express experiences that you have hidden at the back of your mind, enabling the qualified hypnotherapy to work with you effectively to overcome any obstacles you may be experiencing.

Even when choosing online hypnotherapy, it is advisable to have an in-person meeting with the qualified clinical hypnotherapy first. This will help them identify what you need and put a hypnotherapy plan together which you can then use in the comfort of your own home. Many clinical hypnotherapists will provide a VoIP meeting, often using Skype, so you can meet face to face (in a way) to discuss your particular obstacles and what you want to achieve from your experience. This may be to reduce stress, stop smoking, stop biting your nails or even lose unwanted weight which you have been struggling to lose for years.

The benefits of online hypnotherapy is that you often get better results, as you are able to relax more in your home environment. If you feel this is the best choice for you, but you don’t relax at home as home is what is stopping you from achieving your goals, you can choose another location, maybe a beautiful hillside walk that you enjoy or even the beach, somewhere where you immediately feel relaxed and at peace.

It is important though when it comes to choosing online hypnotherapy that you find a qualified clinical hypnotherapist to assist you. The good news is that because your initial meeting is done over the internet, they don’t have to be in your country, though in your national country is often advisable, especially if they ship CD’s to you to use as part of your sessions.

Take the time to identify a number of hypnotherapists that you can trust. This will give you the ability to learn as much as you can about each one and then narrow down your search accordingly. Remember you are looking for a qualified person who has extensive knowledge and experience in the hypnotherapy industry.

Don’t only rely on the reviews you find on their website, you can go online and do a search for their name and then go through the independent review sites and online forums to learn as much about each hypnotherapist as you can, this can help you narrow down your search considerably.

It is important to note when reading the reviews that you cannot expect to have online hypnotherapy and not do any work yourself. When it comes to stopping smoking or losing weight, you will still have to do your part to ensure that you achieve your goals, the hypnotherapy just helps your mind focus on the goal more effectively moving forward, but the results are all down to you and what you do to achieve this success.

Opioid Addiction

The intervention suggested by Sigmon would save patients from frequent visits to a doctor or a clinic. The opioid addiction treatment combines buprenorphine, a medication approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and an electronic dispenser that provides a single daily dose on its own. The mechanism involves locks and alarms to ensure medical adherence and prevent tampering. It also has an automated phone-based monitoring system and a random callback visits for pill counts and urine testing. This is a temporary arrangement for waitlisted patients seeking opioid treatment, allowing them to start taking medication immediately while they wait for a community-based comprehensive program.

The 12-week trial focused on establishing the efficacy of the intervention showed positive results. The study found that the interim buprenorphine helped waitlisted opioid-dependent participants experience abstinence from illicit drug use. The researchers recommended the interim therapy as an effective approach to help patients prevent the potentially fatal dangers of illegal opioid use while they await an intensive-care program.

The opioid epidemic has been affecting millions in the country. The 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) suggests that 11.8 million Americans aged 12 or older misused opioids in the year. The country reported highest opioid misuse among young adults aged 18 to 25, recording an annual incidence of 7.3 percent in the past year. The opioid epidemic has been claiming thousands of lives each year. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), misusing opioids – heroin, fentanyl and prescription drugs – led to 33,091 deaths in 2015. Moreover, non-fatal unintentional opioid poisoning contributed to around 53,000 hospitalizations and 92,262 emergency department (ED) visits across the country.

Heroin, in particular, wreaked havoc in the past years. The CDC reported a two-time increase in heroin use among young adults aged 18 to 25 in the past decade. With increased use of the drug, heroin-related overdose deaths have also grown significantly, witnessing a four-fold increase since 2010. Heroin-related overdose death rates saw a 20.6 percent increase between 2014 and 2015, with around 13,000 people dying from the same in 2015 alone.

Researchers indicate a strong association between past misuse of prescription opioids and initiating heroin use. Besides, official data shows that more than 90 percent people who used heroin also reported use of at least one other drug. Increased availability and relatively low price (compared to prescription opioids) are some common factors contributing to the rising use of heroin. Taking strict action against drug dealers and educating people about dangerous consequences of heroin use can help deal with the problem.

Benefits of Using Castor Oil

In pregnancy and labor

It is very helpful to induce labor in pregnant women. The labor is induced by pushing the uterus and causing contractions. This makes it very much easier to deliver the baby

For skin related issues

Castor oil has been an aid for skin issues, for example, Acne and blemishes Burns Dry, patchy skin Stretch marks and other spots etc.

It has a characteristic emollient property that goes into the deepest skin layers and empowers the generation of collagen and elastin, which keeps the soft skin by keeping it hydrated. It also diminishes signs of aging by rejuvenating skin.

For the treatment of wounds and injuries

A major character of castor oil is that it keeps skin hydrated and moisturized. This helps to give strength and keeps it safe against infection.

It also speeds up the process of healing of wounds. Another thing it is very effective in, is diaper rashes caused to babies.

For treatment of constipation

As the oil is composed of natural ingredients, it is well known for its laxative actions. The oral intake of the oil results in the release of ricin oleic acids in the digestion tracts therefore treats constipation. It helps digest the undigested food and clears the intestinal tract.

For treating different hypersensitivities

Castor oil helps in disposing of allergic reactions like warts and moles. Utilizing it is expected to help break down small growths in the ovary as it has unsaturated fats that, later on, gets consumed by the skin and expelled out.

Nutrition Message Nobody Wants to Hear

Not Connecting the Dots

When I was training to be a life coach, one of the instructor coaches was between 40 and 50 pounds overweight. One day she said, “I’m addicted to sugar, but I’m okay with it.”

This woman clearly didn’t connect her addiction to sugar with either her weight or any of the health problems she had. That’s what I’d call not connecting the dots.

Cravings that Never Go Away

I receive newsletters with articles on sugar cravings that “never seem to go away.” The various authors present themselves as nutrition experts. As a solution, they typically recommend products – that you can buy! – that taste just like chocolate and take away the sugar cravings.

Apparently, whatever these experts do with their daily food plans isn’t keeping food cravings from returning.

Fact: Sugar cravings absolutely DO go away over time – potentially permanently – so it’s a red flag for me if a nutrition ‘expert’ doesn’t know how to make that happen for him/herself or for clients.

Falling for Sneaky, Sexy Sugars

The list of these is fairly long: agave nectar, coconut sugar, maple syrup, fruit (yes, fruit), fruit juice, honey, monk fruit extracts, date paste, and more.

It would be no surprise to discover that someone who uses these sneaky sugars is addicted to them or has cravings that never seem to go away completely. After all, they’re sugar.

Which Brings Us to Paleo Menus

I’m on lots of lists and often receive menus for Paleo desserts and treats that use some of the above sneaky sugars. They’re delicious, we’re told.

My wisdom on this is simple: “Delicious” is suspicious.

And sugar is sugar. That’s definitely not what anyone wants to hear, but it’s true.

Fruits and Vegetables

What can I say? I wish people would stop lumping these two together. It makes them seem equally healthful, and they’re not.

Fructose, the sugar in fruit, is a particularly harmful sugar. In fact, it’s what makes sucrose (half fructose, half glucose) the junk we know it to be. In the science lit, all researchers seem to know this. If only the rest of us were willing to accept that!

A couple of servings of fruit a day is probably okay for most people. A serving is ½ cup or 1 medium fruit.

Yet some fruits may trigger an addictive reaction in some people. Self-awareness and self-honesty are key survival tools, and far better than going along with any mainstream push toward trending sugars.

Yoga In Anti Aging Progression

Yoga, the ancient technique for harmonized external and internal body well beings, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture… has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes’ research and supported by health advocates.

According to the study to explore the impact of yoga and meditation based lifestyle intervention (YMLI) on cellular aging in 96 healthy individuals randomly assigned to a 12-weeks of YMLI, at the end of 12 weeks of lesson, YMLI group expressed significant improvements in both the cardinal biomarkers of cellular aging and the metabotrophic biomarkers influencing cellular aging in compared to baseline values.

The efficacy of the program in reduced cellular aging process was attributed to the activities in decreased production of ROS and pro inflammatory cytokins and hormone cortisol, and increased mean values of telomerase activity in regulated aging progression and hormone β-endorphin in reduced stress and maintain homeostasis.

Dr. Madhuri Tolahunase, the led author, after taking into account of other co founders, said,”Lifestyle is an integrated entity, and an intervention, like YMLI, that has overall positive influence on our health appears most useful versus changing only one aspect at a time, as is seen by action of certain drugs. Yoga is holistic and a mind-body medicine and is more beneficial and advantageous than individual interventions like physical exercise, caloric restriction, and antioxidants”.

Pre-Surgery Hypnosis

Take surgery, for example, there are so many minimally invasive technologies available so the huge scars of former operations are less visible. But when you are advised about the need for a surgery and everything leading up to it, the stress and anxiety begin immediately. How does medicine handle this? Why, a pill, of course. And it’s more drugs from there to the finish.

But what if you could mediate your own handling of an operation from diagnosis through the actual surgery to recuperation?

Well, you have that possibility with hypnotherapy.

Scientists have already determined that 95% of everything we know, do, and react to is in our subconscious mind. The conscious mind is only 5%. That’s a huge difference and it’s a no-brainer to engage with the subconscious in hypnosis as an informed and powerful participant in your life.

When you think about it, it’s the subconscious that is keeping the body humming along. It is the conductor of all the bodily systems from the heart’s pumping and blood flow, the nervous system, digestion, cell division… well, everything. Imagine if you had to use your conscious mind to keep everything working… impossible! The only bodily function we can (sometimes) control is breathing, though the subconscious takes over that too when we stop paying attention to it.

There has been a lot of research into hypnosis used before surgery and the results are overwhelmingly positive.

The treatment starts after the diagnosis when the patient is primed to relax and prepare with confidence. Then the pre-surgery where the subconscious is engaged to direct what actually goes on in the patient’s mind during the surgery. As previously mentioned, the subconscious is in charge of all the bodily functions so having set the path of success the research has shown that there is less bleeding, less time in the OR, and less anesthesia

There is also research which points to quicker recuperation and less pain after using hypnosis.

The thing about hypnosis is that we are already experiencing it without realizing that we are. We are in focused attention, just like hypnosis, when we get engrossed in a book or a movie. We forget where we are and, for all intents and purposes, we are just in the moment. It is then that we are highly suggestible and we react to the movie or take in the hypnotic suggestions that allow relaxation about the surgery and belief in the outcome.

Autism and Cord Blood

Many Americans have been resorting to this to heal ASD in their child. The brand-new U.S clinical trial is said to be the very first to get U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s approval. Administered and managed by Dr. Michael Chez, the Director of Paediatric Neurology, Sutter Medical Center, a team of researchers sometime back had published the outcome of a Phase II Clinical Trial that looked into the effectiveness and security of autologous umbilical cord blood cells for autistic children that deployed a placebo-managed, double-blind design. Back in 2017, these medical researchers at Duke University also published a Phase I security trial assessing autologous umbilical cord blood in autistic children. The emphasis on cord blood cells being a potential cellular therapy accompanied with favourable findings from past clinical studies, promises a brighter future in treating ASD. CBR in its initiative to explore the potential of stem cells has offered institutional funding for Stutter clinical researchers.

The emphasis on cord blood cells being effective in treating ASD stems from its innate benefits. Cells from umbilical cord blood have set of benefits such as:

  • Anti-inflammatory properties – Research has revealed that stem cells possess the capacity to normalize inflammation and migrate to the location of neurologic injury.
  • Secure and available – Blood from the umbilical cord is collected easily when a baby is born and can be stored indefinitely for any future use by a close family member or the newborn donor
  • Bystander effect- It is said that infused stem cells secrete factors which regenerates the body’s innate healing mechanism in and around a surrounding tissue through paracrine signalling, which is also called the bystander effect.

The very first clinical research making use of the blood from umbilical cord that was earlier banked from the autistic child was completed recently. The children between the age group 2 and 6 who had ASD were researched on for this study. The objective of this trial was to evaluate if blood from the umbilical cord was a secure means to use it on these children and record any health improvement that might occur in a year. This children team was given one dose of stem cells via intravenous infusion and the effects were observed. This study paved the foundation for other advanced studies to commence in future. It proved that cord blood cell was a secure therapy mode when transferred as an infusion. It also recognized certain symptoms that could have been influenced.

Energy Safety and Troubleshooting

It’s important to remember to give yourself space for some of this energy to manifest and be released. I’ll occasionally go for a drive and just start crying for no apparent reason, which can be disturbing if you don’t understand that it’s just an energy outlet. I also make it a point to laugh a lot, work out a lot and even occasionally go for a drive and curse at everyone I know (on a mountain back road in the privacy of the vehicle).

We tend to connect emotional reactions to the people in our lives, or events that happen, and this is just not always the case!

Sometimes it’s the reverse, the event happens because we need a release and subconsciously we were creating a catalyst (an argument with a spouse for instance) to allow that release.

Taking more control of how you release these energies can have a very positive effect on your relationships as well as the harmony of your life.

Some things to remember;

Energy follows thought, which means it goes where you send it, as opposed to where you want it to go. You must work with a high level of awareness and intention.

Cool Your Energy – As you begin drawing energy up your spine in some of the more advanced exercises you’ll need to be sure to cool it off. An excess of hot Yang energy will cause headaches and a hot forehead and crown.

Troubleshooting excessive Yang;

  • The simplest way to fix this is to just relax and let the excess heat just flow out through the top of your head.
  • If that doesn’t work then do the Microcosmic Orbit exercise (from Mantak Chia’s Awaken Healing Energy Through the Tao, also presented in Part 2 of this manual) but run the orbit backwards, bringing the hot energy back down the spine.
  • Ground and Center – The Grounding Exercise can also help draw down excess heat. You can also draw all of your energy into your Center (the point 2 inches below your navel) by simply placing your hands there and breathing into the point right behind your hands. Just inhale and draw your breath into that point, it’s easy.
  • Left Nostril Breathing – Close off the right nostril with a finger and inhale through the left. This will increase the flow of Yin and help balance the heat.
  • A cold compress on the forehead. For years I had problems with Yang headaches and had no clue what was causing it. As a last resort a cold compress will make the headache go away almost instantly.

Using Intention – Be sure to be aware of your intentions while running energy with another person. A feeling of dislike or disapproval for the other person can cause you to send harmful or unpleasant energy into them.

Energy doesn’t flow through tight muscles. Use the Secret Smile and Mantak Chia’s Inner Smile and 6 Healing Sounds to ensure that you are running relaxed, happy, loving energy as much as possible.

Do the Secret Smile as often as possible! If I could only do one exercise this would be it. Whenever you seem to be having energy problems and issues in your life take 15 or 20 minutes and run through this exercise. After a while you’ll find that simply remembering to smile will help activate that energy.

I don’t put these warnings here to discourage anyone, but simply to help you be aware of some of the more common problems. Many Qi Qong teachers insist that students be closely guided by a competent teacher and I don’t disagree. On the other hand, it’s not always feasible to try to find a ‘competent teacher’ as many of us are constrained by time, finances or geography.

Be careful, be aware and pay attention to your intentions. Don’t be in a hurry and don’t let your expectations get your ass into something that your mind can’t get you out of. There are a LOT of resources on the web these days as well as discussion groups. Sort through all of this with an open mind and remember that in some cases it’s like the blind men trying to describe the elephant. We all have different pieces of the puzzle, in other words.

Managing Pain With Yoga

Many people are turning towards yoga as a possible solution to such problems. Yoga is an ancient practice combining meditation and exercise which have a deep and long lasting effect on the mind and body.

It regulates breathing and increases metabolism, aids in weight loss, relieves stress and reduces depression by bringing in positive energy via meditation and can also help in pain relief and management.

  • As far as pain management goes, most of the pain culminates in the back and shoulders due to long hours of sitting and incorrect posture.
  • Sometimes even the legs and feet experience pain due to incorrect footwear, strenuous exercise, or long hours of walking or running.
  • Older people fall prey to pain due to aging joints. Yoga has a cure for all of the above and more.
  • And, there is pain that is associated with Arthritis, Fibromylagia and other conditions where pain is the focal point that are known to be helped by yoga.

Firstly, start with simple meditation. Sit in the correct cross legged posture and practice Pranayam.

This will ease your mind and body and prepare it for the exercises ahead. Remember to be slow and steady. Start your routine with stretching.

The best thing about yoga is that it can be practiced anywhere and anytime. You can also do it in your cramped office space if you know the right exercises.

Each pose or asana as they are called targets some part of the body or another. The stretching poses are intended to warm up your body. Remember to regulate your breathing and change every posture with proper breathing ins and outs.

There are some pretty straightforward poses like the mountain pose, pyramid pose, raise hand pose, forward bend pose, downward facing dog, warrior pose, etc.

These mainly improve your balance and work your core muscles which will help in relieve pain at the deeper level along with stretching your body to the fullest.

Follow this up with some standing poses like the tree pose and the pant pose which are the higher levels Asanas.

The staff pose, head to knee pose, seated forward bend, cobbler’s pose, seated wide legged straddle, etc are poses to be attempted while seated.

These exercise your stomach, hips and thighs and provide wonderful results.

Now that your body is completely ready and warmed up, try the cobra pose for relieving back pain.

Follow that up with the cat cow stretch. You will immediately find a difference in the level of pain in the body and will be refreshed.

There is also the bridge pose for those wishing to take it further.

Importance of Gratitude

I recently entered gratitude into a search on Google and it returned 109,000,000 results, and I noticed a disturbing trend. Based on the top links that came back it appears that many people are using gratitude for selfish aims. Among the top links that came back on page one in my search were: “The 31 Benefits of Gratitude You Didn’t Know About,” “Can Gratitude Make Millennials More Successful?” and “7 Surprising Health Benefits of Gratitude.”

In my experience, the only genuine practice of gratitude is when it is done to enrich others. In fact, in my regular practice of gratitude I specifically ask the recipient not to acknowledge it, but rather, if they feel compelled to respond, to send a similar message of gratitude to someone in their life OTHER THAN ME!

I believe that expressing gratitude for selfish reasons will eventually backfire in the same way I see general selfishness and greed eventually come back to bite people. It’s not always easy to do, but in the long run, helping others will fill you up a lot faster than only looking out for yourself.

Our society has become obsessed with results, to its detriment, in my humble opinion. I have found that the need for results makes those very results much less likely to occur. That’s why my focus is based primarily on process and purpose. Unfortunately, I do not have time to go into process and purpose (but will in a future blog post) as I want to tackle another issue with how people practice giving thanks.

The other problem I have with the way people express gratitude is that they often focus on the easy things. If you have read my blogs before, you have likely seen me utter the phrase: ‘Life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react to it” (although I now believe it’s more like 3% and 97%). I have personally found that once I learned to embrace the bad things that have happened to me, and to be grateful for them, it accelerated my growth exponentially.

As a child, I used to curse the fact that life was not fair and often felt sorry for myself. I think a big reason I felt this way was because my mother passed away two days before my fourth birthday. Regardless of the cause, all feeling sorry for myself did was make a bad situation even worse.

I eventually realized there was a positive side to losing my mom at a young age. It made me a more sensitive and empathetic person and those traits serve me to this day. I’m even grateful for all the people who bullied me or took advantage of me when I was down, for I would not have gained the valuable skills or knowledge I have, otherwise. These experiences forced me to learn how to problem solve at a young age and think on my feet. All of these traits and skills are vital to the work I do today.

In addition, I also suffered deep depression and anxiety after my mom passed away, but fighting those battles made me a better person. Though it took a lot longer than I would have liked, I like the person I am today.

Having said all of that, if I could choose, I would give up all of these benefits in a second to have my mother back for even a few days. But I can’t choose, so I have finally learned to play the cards I have been dealt in a forward looking way.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking about what would have or could have been. In my case it would be if my mother had lived. But those fantasies are filled with inaccuracies as they envision an idealized version of the person I am now, and the reality is I may have ended up being a completely different person. Perhaps even an entitled spoiled momma’s boy with very little compassion, for all I know.

If you want to accelerate your growth, learn to have gratitude for the things that you missed out on or that went wrong, as well as the things that went right, and when you choose to express it outwardly, do it to enrich others not to receive any benefits for yourself.
