Relaxing Into Independence

On my return, and to my surprise, the slow pace of timelessness, which I experienced on vacation, was quickly departing like a rainbow fading into the mist after a soft rain. As a result, I found myself saying, “I must reconnect with my inner non-doer while still accomplishing all the goals that I want to make happen.”

This state of non-duality has often been referred to as the “Zen Mind.” From this Zen state of mind a peaceful, happy and an open presence greets all that crosses my path. Hurrying and stressing are the opposite of this. After all, the goal of my vacation was to come back home to myself and to rekindle my magical inner child. Being able to laugh at the little challenges that life brings helps me to stay in the present moment and find peaceful and clear solutions to situations that arise.

For instance my …

Suboxone Treatment

The life-changing drug is a combination of Buprenorphine, a synthetic opiate, and Naloxone, which acts as an opioid blocker. Buprenorphine attaches to the same pain receptors as other narcotics such as heroin or oxycontin. Due to its chemical structure, it relieves the patient of detox symptoms but does not produce the “high” associated with painkillers. Also, its ceiling effect lowers the risk of overdose which can be a danger of methadone use.

Physicians report its use as being a critical part of the recovery process for their patients. While allowing outpatient access, patients adhere to strict dosing limits and times during the first phase of their treatment. Being a requirement for some programs, group therapy and meetings with counselors create a well-rounded regimen. Patients are still able to fulfill vocational requirements and meet family commitments without having to attend a costly inpatient rehabilitation center.

To combat the accelerating opioid epidemic, …

Behaviours Hypnotherapists Observe in Addicts

The main finding is that very few addicts can function without exhibiting some symptoms and behavioural changes. Often it is their closest friends and family members that will see these changes. Understanding them is key to helping an addict. Following is a list of common behaviour traits that an addict exhibits:

They lie about things – addicts will start investing some time in their newfound addiction. As a result, they may begin lying about where they have been. Also, they may even begin lying about where all their money goes, especially when it concerns the family budget. The thing about lying is that at some point explanations don’t add up. It is at this point where action must be taken. Family members and loved ones of an addict must not allow themselves to get caught in a web of lies, as this will usually lead to delayed help for the …

Online Hypnotherapy

When you choose hypnotherapy you will be placed in a relaxed state, which appeals to your subconscious in order to achieve your goal. This means that while you are in this state, you can express feelings and experiences you have bottled up, it can also help you express experiences that you have hidden at the back of your mind, enabling the qualified hypnotherapy to work with you effectively to overcome any obstacles you may be experiencing.

Even when choosing online hypnotherapy, it is advisable to have an in-person meeting with the qualified clinical hypnotherapy first. This will help them identify what you need and put a hypnotherapy plan together which you can then use in the comfort of your own home. Many clinical hypnotherapists will provide a VoIP meeting, often using Skype, so you can meet face to face (in a way) to discuss your particular obstacles and what you …

Opioid Addiction

The intervention suggested by Sigmon would save patients from frequent visits to a doctor or a clinic. The opioid addiction treatment combines buprenorphine, a medication approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and an electronic dispenser that provides a single daily dose on its own. The mechanism involves locks and alarms to ensure medical adherence and prevent tampering. It also has an automated phone-based monitoring system and a random callback visits for pill counts and urine testing. This is a temporary arrangement for waitlisted patients seeking opioid treatment, allowing them to start taking medication immediately while they wait for a community-based comprehensive program.

The 12-week trial focused on establishing the efficacy of the intervention showed positive results. The study found that the interim buprenorphine helped waitlisted opioid-dependent participants experience abstinence from illicit drug use. The researchers recommended the interim therapy as an effective approach to help patients prevent …

Nutrition Message Nobody Wants to Hear

Not Connecting the Dots

When I was training to be a life coach, one of the instructor coaches was between 40 and 50 pounds overweight. One day she said, “I’m addicted to sugar, but I’m okay with it.”

This woman clearly didn’t connect her addiction to sugar with either her weight or any of the health problems she had. That’s what I’d call not connecting the dots.

Cravings that Never Go Away

I receive newsletters with articles on sugar cravings that “never seem to go away.” The various authors present themselves as nutrition experts. As a solution, they typically recommend products – that you can buy! – that taste just like chocolate and take away the sugar cravings.

Apparently, whatever these experts do with their daily food plans isn’t keeping food cravings from returning.

Fact: Sugar cravings absolutely DO go away over time – potentially permanently – so it’s a …

Yoga In Anti Aging Progression

Yoga, the ancient technique for harmonized external and internal body well beings, through breath control, meditation, bodily movement and gesture… has been well known for people in Western world and some parts in Asia due to health benefits reported by various respectable institutes’ research and supported by health advocates.

According to the study to explore the impact of yoga and meditation based lifestyle intervention (YMLI) on cellular aging in 96 healthy individuals randomly assigned to a 12-weeks of YMLI, at the end of 12 weeks of lesson, YMLI group expressed significant improvements in both the cardinal biomarkers of cellular aging and the metabotrophic biomarkers influencing cellular aging in compared to baseline values.

The efficacy of the program in reduced cellular aging process was attributed to the activities in decreased production of ROS and pro inflammatory cytokins and hormone cortisol, and increased mean values of telomerase activity in regulated aging progression …

Pre-Surgery Hypnosis

Take surgery, for example, there are so many minimally invasive technologies available so the huge scars of former operations are less visible. But when you are advised about the need for a surgery and everything leading up to it, the stress and anxiety begin immediately. How does medicine handle this? Why, a pill, of course. And it’s more drugs from there to the finish.

But what if you could mediate your own handling of an operation from diagnosis through the actual surgery to recuperation?

Well, you have that possibility with hypnotherapy.

Scientists have already determined that 95% of everything we know, do, and react to is in our subconscious mind. The conscious mind is only 5%. That’s a huge difference and it’s a no-brainer to engage with the subconscious in hypnosis as an informed and powerful participant in your life.

When you think about it, it’s the subconscious that is …

Autism and Cord Blood

Many Americans have been resorting to this to heal ASD in their child. The brand-new U.S clinical trial is said to be the very first to get U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s approval. Administered and managed by Dr. Michael Chez, the Director of Paediatric Neurology, Sutter Medical Center, a team of researchers sometime back had published the outcome of a Phase II Clinical Trial that looked into the effectiveness and security of autologous umbilical cord blood cells for autistic children that deployed a placebo-managed, double-blind design. Back in 2017, these medical researchers at Duke University also published a Phase I security trial assessing autologous umbilical cord blood in autistic children. The emphasis on cord blood cells being a potential cellular therapy accompanied with favourable findings from past clinical studies, promises a brighter future in treating ASD. CBR in its initiative to explore the potential of stem cells has offered institutional …
